Our company endorses April Dream, a movement to make April 1st a day for sharing dreams. This press release is the dream of 'Sakurajuji Group FLOW'.
【Our Dream】From Sakurajuji to the World. Realizing a Society with Enriched QOL where a Cycle of Happiness Spreads
With the mission 'Fulfilling Life in the 100-Year Life Era,' the Sakurajuji Group (hereafter, Sakurajuji) operates with a focus on medical care, long-term care, and preventive medicine. 'FLOW (Front Line Of Well-being),' a cross-functional team connecting this vision internally and externally, declares a dream on April 1st, 2026, for April Dream. It is the 'World Well-being-ization Plan,' a plan to achieve 100% well-being for all staff working at Sakurajuji, let that overflowing happiness ripple throughout the world, and expand the 'horizon of happiness' far beyond the framework of medicine.
We aim not just to be a place that cures illnesses, but to be an entity that 'fulfills the lives' of everyone involved with Sakurajuji, and by extension, all of Japan and the world.
Sakurajuji's Vision: 'WELL-BEING FRONTIER'
Since its founding in 2005, the Sakurajuji Group has flexibly expanded its role in response to the changes in times and society. For the first decade, as a 'Medical Group' providing high-quality medical care stably. For the next decade, as a 'Healthcare Group' supporting people's health from multiple angles. We have moved forward while focusing on the value demanded by each era.
And in 2025, reaching the major milestone of our 20th anniversary, we adopted a new slogan: 'WELL-BEING FRONTIER.' The sentiment embedded within is our desire to 'redefine medicine with the measure of 'happiness' and guide people's very lives toward well-being.'
In the 100-year life era, what is truly needed is not just curing illnesses. It is to live with a fulfilled mind and body, in one's own way. It is for each person's every day to be richer, more comfortable, and more uniquely their own. The Sakurajuji Group will continue to challenge itself to pioneer a future of well-being, transcending the boundaries of medicine.
Turning Dreams into Action. The Activities of FLOW
The starting point for this dream lies in the thoughts and actions of each staff member working on the front lines. FLOW is a cross-functional team composed of three departments—Human Resource Development, Planning/PR/Marketing, and Culture & Quality—that connects the vision with the workplace. Our first challenge is to cultivate an organizational culture where each of the approximately 10,000 staff members at Sakurajuji feels 'glad to work here.' To do this, we will re-examine the well-being of the workers themselves and increase the 'moments of fulfillment' in their daily tasks and interactions. The 'Happy Spiral,' a philosophy cherished by Sakurajuji, refers to the cycle where the fulfillment of staff members delivers that energy to patients and customers, which then spreads to the local community. In other words, we believe that creating staff well-being is the starting point for building the well-being of everyone involved with Sakurajuji, and society as a whole.
Roadmap to Realizing the Dream: Towards 2030, and then 2035
We will not let this dream end as a mere wish. As an operational team, we will move forward step by step, steadily.
Cultivating the Soil (FY2025): Through internal newsletters and dialogues, we are nurturing the value of well-being as a common language for the organization. We are starting by discovering, visualizing, and sharing the thoughts and practices that already exist within the company.
Sowing the Seeds (FY2026): We will proceed with recruiting and deploying 'FLOW Ambassadors' as champions to spread well-being at each site. Furthermore, we will also communicate initiatives that support the dreams of our patients and customers as a form of well-being unique to Sakurajuji.
Sprouting, Flowering, and Fruiting (FY2027–2030): With 2030 as a milestone, we will work hand-in-hand with internal and external partner companies and local communities to grow Sakurajuji-originated well-being initiatives into a larger social movement.
And by 2035, the Sakurajuji Group aims to be an entity that pioneers the 'forefront of happiness' for society as a whole, beyond the framework of medicine.
The Thoughts of 'FLOW' Members
'We believe that by speaking of a dream, it takes shape, gathers allies, and begins to move toward reality. Something that makes working people a little more positive. Something that lightens the heart through interaction with someone. Such small daily changes are the very beginning of well-being. The accumulation of each one of these will eventually spread to patients, customers, the community, and society. We want to nurture that positive flow from within Sakurajuji. To a future where 'being well' is someday not special, but the norm. We will cultivate that beginning from here.'
About Sakurajuji Group
'WELL-BEING FRONTIER: Fulfilling Life in the 100-Year Life Era'
The Sakurajuji Group began in 2005 with 'Sakurajuji Hospital,' which has the largest number of beds among private hospitals in Kumamoto Prefecture. Today, it is not limited to hospitals but develops various businesses and services necessary for society in the healthcare domain of medical care, long-term care, and preventive medicine nationwide.
A person's life is connected as a single 'Life Story' from childhood to adulthood and old age. As we enter the 100-year life era, what can we, who have faced elderly care, do? It is to provide new concepts of businesses and services that 'fulfill life' mentally and socially, not just the physical care of healing illnesses and injuries. By doing so, we will support the enjoyment and joy of life for all generations, and contribute to building the society that is its foundation. We, the Sakurajuji Group, aim to be a 'Well-being Frontier' that carves out a future rich in QOL (Quality of Life) by continuing to evolve in response to the changes of the times, based on the three pillars of 'physical health,' 'mental fulfillment,' and 'the state of people, towns, and society'.
