U-22 Programming Contest 2026 Website Opens and Application Guidelines Published!

The U-22 Programming Contest Executive Committee has published the application guidelines on the official website for the U-22 Programming Contest 2026, marking its 47th edition. At the same time, they unveiled the key visual drawn by the U-22 generation, which won the Grand Prize in the 4th Key Visual Contest and will become the "face" of 2026.

In recent years, as AI has naturally been utilized in many works, "AI" has been removed from the application genre options. Instead, if AI is used in the production of a work, applicants are required to clearly state the specific purpose and details of its use.

Eligibility remains the same as last year: students up to 28 years old, and working adults/freelancers up to 22 years old. The contest is looking for original, unsubmitted works (works that have not been submitted to other contests, regardless of whether they have been published or not; works limited to school events are acceptable).

Last year, participants found new ways of expression, such as using AI as a sounding board for self-study or visualizing AI's thoughts. The process of organizing, considering, and utilizing surrounding technologies and information is becoming increasingly necessary.

The U-22 Programming Contest supports young people who give shape to their ideas and create original applications and services using "programming" skills. Winners are provided not only with supplementary prizes but also with pathways to step up and further encourage their growth.

Through the contest, we will convey that being enthusiastic about and enjoying what you "like" and what you "want to create" will build your future path.

Following last year, we are also planning opportunities for participants and prospective applicants to interact and consult with committee members through the Discord community.

Eligibility Individuals aged 22 or under (born on or after April 2, 2004) or students aged 28 or under (born on or after April 2, 1998) (or groups composed of members meeting these conditions). * Working adults/freelancers: Can apply up to age 22. Students: Can apply up to age 28 (e.g., enrolled in a university doctoral program).

Submitted Works Must be original works that have not been previously submitted (including to other contests).
