SailPoint, Inc. (hereinafter "SailPoint"), a leader in enterprise identity security, today announced its intent to acquire Entro Security Ltd. (hereinafter "Entro"), a pioneer in non-human identity (NHI) and credential security based in Tel Aviv. Upon completion of the acquisition, SailPoint's recently announced SailPoint Agentic Fabric will be strategically expanded and accelerated. This will further advance SailPoint's vision of protecting modern enterprises by delivering adaptive identity security across their digital ecosystems.
As organizations rapidly adopt autonomous AI agents, complex cloud architectures, and programmatic workflows, modern security requirements are no longer defined by traditional perimeter defenses. Instead, they are dictated by "who" or "what" is accessing data, "when," "why," and "under what conditions." By integrating Entro's capabilities, which directly address the challenges of the AI era, SailPoint will further enhance its ability to help customers easily identify, manage, and protect their organization's high-risk assets on a single, unified platform.
"The Agentic Fabric we announced recently established a new framework for the large-scale protection of autonomous AI agents and non-human identities, including native discovery, governance, and protection," said Mark McClain, CEO and Founder of SailPoint. "By integrating Entro's powerful and complementary technology into the SailPoint platform, our customers will gain even greater value, with seamless and complete visibility into all non-human identities, as well as the context and credentials used to access critical enterprise data."
"We founded Entro with a clear mission to secure modern cloud environments by discovering and protecting a vast number of credentials and non-human identities," said Itzik Alon, Co-Founder and CEO of Entro. "As enterprises increasingly adopt automation and agent-based workloads, securing this massive identity layer is becoming more critical. We are thrilled to integrate our advanced and seamless discovery and lineage mapping engine into SailPoint's comprehensive identity security framework and Agentic Fabric. We are confident that the fusion of our respective non-human identity and AI technologies will further enhance SailPoint's established ability to protect human and non-human identities in enterprise environments worldwide."
SailPoint Agentic Fabric Accelerated by Entro
Upon completion of the acquisition, Entro is expected to provide technical capabilities that complement and enhance SailPoint's existing features. Capabilities to be integrated into the Agentic Fabric include:
* Discovery and Credential Support: Entro seamlessly visualizes the specific tools, APIs, and credentials used by AI agents and machine identities to perform tasks, without requiring agents. This expands SailPoint's coverage, enabling standard coverage for over 1,000 non-human identities/agents and detection of over 1,200 credentials from more than 70 critical enterprise environments and data sources. Covered credentials include secrets, keys, tokens, and certificates. Covered environments and data sources include cloud environments, developer tools, CI/CD pipelines, and SaaS/collaboration environments. By visualizing the tools agents use for their work, SailPoint can apply more advanced policy-based governance to agent workflows and their dynamically changing operational scope.
* Detailed Context and Human Owner Identification: Identity discovery is only the first step; accountability requires linking identities to human identities. Entro complements SailPoint's native identity intelligence by enriching discovered data with metadata, mapping precise relationships, access permissions, usage, and "blast radius." This detailed lineage mapping allows organizations to link complex non-human identities to human owners. Combined with SailPoint's enterprise-grade access authentication and lifecycle governance, this enables customers to automate closed-loop remediation and enforce zero-standing privileges.
* Real-time Discovery and Active Protection: Registered and managed non-human identities must be protected in real-time. Entro's proprietary Non-Human Identity Detection and Response (NHIDRTM) capability allows SailPoint customers to continuously monitor AI agents and machine identities for anomalous behavior in real-time. This enables organizations to identify excessive access privileges, enforce least privilege, and automate threat response at machine speed.
These capabilities are designed to directly address the key security, privacy, and compliance risks that IT and business leaders face when deploying AI agents. Upon completion of the acquisition, SailPoint customers will have access to broader visibility, owner identification, and control. This will transform identity from a static compliance measure into a dynamic, real-time driver of business success.
With the addition of Entro, SailPoint will further differentiate itself from traditional approaches and deliver true end-to-end adaptive identity security.
The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close in SailPoint's third quarter of fiscal year 2027.
