Sagami Restaurants Co., Ltd., a group company of Sagami Holdings, announced that it will hold the game sponsorship event “Washoku Mendokoro Sagami Kansha DAY” at a Chunichi Dragons official game on July 11. To commemorate the event, the company will also run a large-scale prize campaign from May 22 to June 21, 2026, at 101 Washoku Mendokoro Sagami restaurants in Aichi, Gifu, and Mie prefectures. Celebrating the Chunichi Dragons’ 90th anniversary, Sagami has prepared a more extensive prize lineup than usual, with prizes for a total of 1,000 winners. The highlight is the “Game Ticket Prize,” offering paired tickets for the July 11 game between the Chunichi Dragons and the Hiroshima Toyo Carp at Vantelin Dome Nagoya to 100 pairs, or 200 people. Other prizes include 90th anniversary commemorative goods such as tote bags, hand towels, cushions, and mugs, as well as rare items for the memorial year including uniforms and logo balls signed by leading Dragons players. Sagami aims to make dining at its restaurants lead to a special baseball-viewing experience while joining the local community in celebrating the hometown team’s milestone. The sponsored game is scheduled for July 11, 2025, at Vantelin Dome Nagoya, featuring the Central League official game “Chunichi Dragons vs. Hiroshima Toyo Carp.” The game starts at 14:00, with gates expected to open at 12:00. During the event, Sagami will promote Washoku Mendokoro Sagami on the venue screens and distribute 20,000 fans with Sagami restaurant discount coupons to visitors on a first-come, first-served basis. The company’s mascot “Misocchi” will also take part in promotional activities. Event details may change without prior notice. The campaign runs from May 22 to June 21, 2026, at 101 Washoku Mendokoro Sagami locations in Aichi, Gifu, and Mie. Customers can apply by attaching a receipt of 3,000 yen or more from in-store dining to an application form, filling it out, and placing it in the application box at a Sagami restaurant. Prizes include game tickets for 100 pairs, signed Chunichi Dragons goods for 10 winners, 90th anniversary goods for 32 winners, and 1,000-yen Sagami meal vouchers for 758 winners. The campaign is intended as a gesture of appreciation to local customers through Sagami’s connection with the Chunichi Dragons. Sagami also highlights its restaurant concept: operating 166 stores mainly in the Tokai region as well as Kanto, Kansai, and Hokuriku, the chain emphasizes freshly ground, freshly made, and freshly boiled soba, with stone mills installed in all stores to grind buckwheat flour daily. Its menu includes noodle dishes such as soba and udon, Nagoya specialties such as miso nikomi and chicken wings, and seasonal Japanese set meals.
