I'm Safe LLC offers a convenient online training course for the "Chemical Substance Manager 1-Day Course (for Non-Manufacturing Handling Businesses)" for in-house participants, as per the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare notification.

The schedule for July 2026 has been released.

To autonomously manage chemical substances, the appointment of a chemical substance manager responsible for technical matters related to chemical substances has been made mandatory for each business establishment that manufactures or handles risk assessment target substances, as stipulated in Article 12-5 of the Industrial Safety and Health Regulations (enforced April 1, 2024). It is recommended to attend a chemical substance manager training course or an equivalent course as a requirement for appointing a chemical substance manager.

This course is a training program for appointing a chemical substance manager (Industrial Safety and Health Regulations Article 12-5), targeting businesses that handle chemical substances but do not manufacture them, such as those handling risk assessment target substances. Participants will acquire the necessary knowledge and practical skills to enable businesses to entrust autonomous chemical substance management.

Regarding I'm Safe's chemical substance manager training course, a document published by the Chemical Substance Countermeasures Division, Industrial Safety and Health Department, Labour Standards Bureau, Ministry of Labour, states: "Instructors for chemical substance manager training courses are expected to have the necessary knowledge and experience to lecture on the content specified for each subject. Chemical substance management specialists, etc., are envisioned."
