June 2026 Online Course: Chemical Substance Manager 1-Day Course (for Non-Manufacturing Handling Businesses) - Convenient Online Course Schedule Released

ImSafe LLC offers a convenient online course for companies to internally train Chemical Substance Managers (1-day course for non-manufacturing handling businesses), as per the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's notification.

The schedule for June 2026 has been released.

To autonomously manage chemical substances, the appointment of a chemical substance manager, responsible for technical matters related to chemical substances, has been made mandatory for each workplace that manufactures or handles substances subject to risk assessment, as stipulated by Article 12-5 of the Industrial Safety and Health Regulations (effective April 1, 2024). It is recommended that candidates for chemical substance managers attend a chemical substance manager training course or an equivalent course.

This course is designed for businesses that handle, but do not manufacture, chemical substances subject to risk assessment, in accordance with Article 12-5 of the Industrial Safety and Health Regulations, to appoint a chemical substance manager (Industrial Safety and Health Regulations, Article 12-5). Participants will acquire the necessary knowledge and practical skills to enable employers to entrust them with autonomous chemical substance management.

Regarding ImSafe's Chemical Substance Manager course, a document from the Chemical Substance Countermeasures Division, Industrial Safety and Health Department, Labour Standards Bureau, Ministry of Labour, states: "Instructors for the Chemical Substance Manager course are expected to possess the necessary knowledge and experience to lecture on the content specified for each subject. Chemical substance management specialists, etc., are envisioned."

The instructors for ImSafe's Chemical Substance Manager course are occupational health consultants registered as chemical substance management specialists.
