Renaissance Signs Agreement with Ota Ward, Tokyo, for Bathing Support and Facility Provision During Disasters

Renaissance Incorporated (Representative Director and President: Misao Mochizuki; Headquarters: Sumida-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter "the Company") has concluded an "Agreement on Bathing Support and Facility Provision During Disasters" with Ota Ward, Tokyo, aimed at providing bathing environments to ward residents in the event of a disaster.

Through this agreement, we will work to support local residents during disasters and further contribute to the community in daily life through mutual cooperation.

■ Background

The "Sports Club & Sauna Spa Renaissance Tamagawa" (hereinafter "Renaissance Tamagawa"), operated by the Company in Yaguchi, Ota Ward, is a comprehensive sports club located within walking distance of Yaguchi-no-watashi and Musashi-Nitta stations on the Tokyu Tamagawa Line. It features a training gym, studio, pool, as well as bathing and sauna facilities.

In the Yaguchi area of Ota Ward, there are few private facilities equipped with bathing amenities, making the maintenance of sanitary conditions during prolonged evacuation life a challenge. A lack of bathing opportunities raises concerns regarding increased risks of infectious diseases, secondary health damage due to inactivity, and increased stress.

Given these regional characteristics, we concluded this agreement believing that providing our facility—which is familiar to local residents in daily life and equipped with bathing facilities—as a hub for disaster bathing support would contribute to improving the evacuation environment.

In the event of a disaster, we will cooperate in emergency response activities according to the situation, focusing on bathing support using our bath facilities.

Furthermore, while deepening our cooperation with Ota Ward, we will continue to expand our support to address various regional issues, not limited to disaster prevention, but also including health, welfare, child-rearing, and support for the elderly.
