Ryohin Keikaku Co., Ltd. (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; President & Representative Director: Satoshi Shimizu), which operates MUJI, announced that starting Wednesday, July 8, it will enhance accessibility and introduce multilingual support on the MUJI Online Store to provide a more comfortable shopping experience for a wider range of customers. The aim is to create an environment that is easier to use for customers with visual, auditory, or physical limitations, and to improve browsing accessibility in multiple languages. Accessibility enhancements will also be implemented on the web pages of the MUJI app.

In recent years, as browsing and purchasing products online has become commonplace, there is a growing demand for environments that are accessible to more customers. With the introduction of accessibility features, display support tailored to the user's environment will become possible, including adjustments to font size and line spacing, contrast changes, and text-to-speech functionality. In addition, multilingual browsing capabilities have been introduced on select pages*1 of the MUJI Online Store*2. Support for five languages—English, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Korean, and Thai—has been added to create an environment where information can be easily delivered to overseas customers and tourists visiting Japan.

Ryohin Keikaku will continue to work on creating environments that are easy to use for all customers, both online and in stores.

*1 Supported on the top page and product detail pages only (some pages excluded).

*2 As multilingual display uses automatic translation, there may be discrepancies in content. Please check the displayed content when using the service.
