RX Japan Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, President: Takeshi Tanaka), the organizer of the '6th Quantum Computing EXPO [Spring] (hereafter, this exhibition)' to be held at Tokyo Big Sight in April 2026, has announced that the Quantum STrategic industry Alliance for Revolution (Q-STAR) (Secretariat: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Taro Shimada) and the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) (Headquarters: Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Chairman: Tamotsu Saito) will participate as supporting organizations.

This exhibition is held as a constituent exhibition of NexTech Week 2026 [Spring] and is the only* exhibition in Japan dedicated to quantum computers. Visitors can comprehensively compare and consider the "current state" of quantum computer technology in one place, from the latest research to applications, implementation support, and human resource development. Because it is held concurrently with other exhibitions within NexTech Week (AI/Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Humanoid Robots, Human Resource/Organizational Reform in the AI Era), it allows cross-sectional comparison of related cutting-edge technologies, creating specific opportunities for business negotiations and collaborations.

Quantum computers are steadily progressing from basic research to the demonstration and application stages for social implementation. Use cases directly linked to business value, such as the discovery of new materials and drugs, combinatorial optimization (logistics, personnel allocation, etc.), cryptography and security, and Quantum x AI (quantum machine learning), are materializing. Accompanying this, the surrounding ecosystem, including cloud usage, implementation support, and human resource development, is also expanding, increasing the options for companies to start small and gradually expand their areas of utilization. On the other hand, to expand as an industry, it is crucial to broaden the base of human resources, spread literacy, and promote international cooperation and standardization. Collaboration within the ecosystem, including industry, academia, government, and startups, is key.

With the participation of two supporting organizations—Q-STAR, which leads the creation of industry-academia-government collaboration platforms, standardization, and human resource development, and NEDO, which supports the promotion of research and development through to demonstration and social implementation—the value of this exhibition, where visitors, exhibitors, and research institutions gather under one roof, will be further strengthened, contributing to the acceleration of the social implementation and industrialization of quantum technology.

*Continuously listed as an "exhibition specialized in quantum computing" on a third-party DB (JETRO J-messe) and the venue's official website. No other equivalent exhibitions have been confirmed (According to our research / February 5, 2026).

We sincerely welcome the holding of the Quantum Computing EXPO. Q-STAR has been integrally promoting collaboration with industry, academia, government, and startups, human resource development, standardization, and international cooperation, aiming for the social implementation of quantum technology and the creation of new industries. This exhibition is an excellent place for diverse players to materialize use cases and implementation paths. Through collaboration with visitors and exhibitors, we will further accelerate demonstrations, standardization, and the expansion of our human resource base, contributing to the realization of a "society where quantum can be utilized without being conscious of it."

We are convinced that by multiplying the industry-academia-government expertise of Q-STAR and NEDO with the "real dialogue space" provided by this exhibition, an opportunity will be created for practitioners to deepen essential discussions and learning.
Currently, many companies are still in the process of resolving how quantum technology can be applied to their business challenges. This exhibition will serve as an opportunity for everyone to realize its potential, specific methods, and new partners.
