"Buildee" Officially Launches "Report Builder," Enabling Users to Create and Edit Excel Report Templates with Custom Styles

This optional service for its construction site management service "Buildee" allows users to import arbitrary Excel reports and link data to create and edit report templates.

This service will facilitate the creation of company-specific reports and easier compliance with varying requirements from ordering parties and internal departments, thereby contributing to reducing the burden of report creation tasks and smoothing information sharing.

Background of "Report Builder" Development

At construction sites, in addition to documents submitted to ordering parties, and internal management reports, there are often cases where reports with the same content but different entry items and layouts must be created and submitted for each site. General contractors, in particular, need to organize and convey information regarding construction and safety to various stakeholders, requiring report management tailored to the submission destination and internal rules.

"Buildee" provides over 30 standard templates to facilitate the easy creation of reports used in construction management, such as records of communication and coordination between tasks and safety and health daily reports, based on input data. However, the report requirements from ordering parties and internal departments are diverse, and there are cases where differences in items and layouts cannot be accommodated by standard templates. Therefore, there were times when data entered into "Buildee" could not be used as-is, requiring separate transcription, layout adjustments, and re-creation of reports to match submission destinations and internal rules.

To alleviate this burden on site, the Company developed this service, which allows general contractor users to flexibly create and edit report templates themselves.

Feature 1: Import custom Excel reports and create/edit company-specific report templates

Users can import their commonly used company-specific Excel reports and link data registered in "Buildee" through a data catalog, allowing them to create report templates while maintaining the original layout. Text size, placement, and gridlines can also be adjusted, supporting report creation in line with submission destinations and internal rules.

Feature 2: Easily create report templates with simple operations

For imported Excel reports, users can select items from a pre-prepared data catalog and simply drag and drop them to link with "Buildee" data. This intuitive operation allows users to quickly and easily create report templates.

Feature 3: Instantly deploy report templates to sites and continuously improve them

Report templates created with this service can be used instantly at sites under branch offices. Requests from sites, such as operation for specific periods only, can be promptly reflected, allowing flexible management in accordance with each site's report operations. Continuous review and improvement can be implemented as the service is actually used, allowing for ongoing refinement of reports to meet site needs.

"Buildee" is a cloud service that supports construction site management operations. It offers an all-in-one solution for daily coordination meetings, inter-task communication and adjustment, entry/exit management, safety document creation, progress/unit price management, and more, thereby assisting in streamlining on-site operations.
