Notice of Appointment of New President and Representative Director

Rui Sekkei-shitsu Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Yodogawa-ku, Osaka / Ota-ku, Tokyo) announces that Yusuke Iwai has been appointed as the new President and Representative Director, effective April 1, 2026 (Wednesday). In addition, Hiroshi Abe, who has served as President and Representative Director, retired from the position on the same day and will continue to contribute as a Special Advisor to the Board of Directors.

Message from the New President and Representative Director

Rui Sekkei-shitsu Co., Ltd. was founded in 1972 by six friends who shared the ambition of "creating our living spaces with our own hands." The word "Rui" implies human beings themselves and the connections between people. Believing that the value born from the mutual relationship of this "Rui" becomes the true vitality that drives society, we have expanded our path from architectural design to education, agriculture, regional co-creation, and building maintenance businesses.

As the new representative, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to our clients who have given us exceptional kindness over the half-century since our founding, and to everyone who has walked with us.

For the past five years since FY2021, facing the rapidly changing era head-on, we have engaged in an all-out effort to "develop the management foundation" for our next leap forward. Based on the spirit of "all-employee management" built by our predecessors, this period of fundamentally reconsidering the nature of our organization was an extremely important regeneration process for us. And in April 2026, building on this foundation, we will finally start a new stage: "developing the growth foundation."

What I value most upon taking office is that I want Rui Sekkei-shitsu to be a place where we "create together."

The founding spirit of "creating with our own hands" is now evolving into a more open form. From now on, moving beyond the boundaries of employees, we will aim to be an "Open Company" that walks together with many stakeholders, including clients, local communities, and students who will lead the next generation. A diverse range of ambitions will gather, pooling wisdom, to nurture a rich future as if it were a forest where life resonates together. I am convinced that the energy born from this "Forest of Co-creation" will circulate new vitality into future society.

And at the root of all this is "people."

I want the company to be not merely a place pursuing profit, but a "place where people gather and grow." As individuals proactively face social issues and engage in friendly competition with their peers, they creatively enrich their own lives. I believe that if it is a place filled with such fundamental human joy, the value of "Rui" generated as a result will become deeper and more certain.

In January 2026, we established the "Vitality Co-creation Research Institute" as a guiding compass for this. Based on the pursuit of undeniable facts, and looking ahead 10 or 50 years, we intend to envision a "new way of society" together with you.

Taking on this historic and heavy responsibility is a humbling experience, but I will continue to learn humbly and sincerely fulfill my duties. We ask for your continued guidance and encouragement for the journey of the newly structured Rui Sekkei-shitsu.
