Rookie Works Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Koichi Nakagawa; hereinafter "Rookie Works") will hold "Global Internship Fair 2028," an online internship event for global talent, on May 13, 2026 (Wednesday).
This event aims to create contact points for foreign students, Japanese students studying abroad (those enrolled in overseas universities), returning students, exchange students, and Japanese students who wish to work globally. By opening participation opportunities to global talent enrolled in universities nationwide, we aim to achieve both the formation of a recruitment pool for companies and the expansion of career options for students.
In recent years, while the number of foreign students enrolled and the demand for employment in Japan have increased, practical opportunities for companies and students to meet early and leverage language skills and international experience are still insufficient. Furthermore, companies are increasingly seeking to recruit through internships, creating a demand for effective matching opportunities for both students and companies.
Against this backdrop, "Global Internship Fair 2028" was planned with the main objectives of creating career contact points specialized for global talent, providing opportunities to meet companies where language skills and international experience can be utilized, and supporting the formation of a recruitment pool for international talent. By narrowing down to a maximum of 10 elite companies and adopting a circulating design that combines 3-minute speeches and 25-minute company explanation sessions, we aim to promote deep mutual understanding in a short time and create opportunities that lead to the next actions such as applications and interviews.
In addition, this event will utilize Rookie Works' network to announce it to career centers at approximately 350 universities nationwide. Rookie Works will contribute to the development of global talent and career formation in Japan by creating effective contact points for students, companies, and universities through this event.
Representative's Comment Koichi Nakagawa, Representative Director, Rookie Works Inc. "Global Internship Fair 2028" is a practical opportunity for foreign students and Japanese students with overseas experience to meet companies where they can leverage their strengths early. For students, it expands career options, and for companies, it creates contact points with diverse talent, contributing to the development of global talent in Japan.
