Cullinan Yachting is a series of four private commissions that celebrate the aesthetics, materials, and spirit of modern yachting culture. Each model is themed around a compass bearing—North, South, East, or West—with this delicate theme reflected in the details of both the interior and exterior.

All four vehicles feature marine-grade teak detailing, hand-painted nautical-themed fascias, a Starlight Headliner inspired by Mediterranean wind patterns, and unique exterior finishes. These reflect the long-standing relationship between Rolls-Royce and the world of marine craft, from the yacht owned by Charles Rolls' family to modern collaborations between clients and yacht designers.

Hand-painted Decoration: Vibrant Hues

Hand-painted decoration is one of the most sought-after bespoke expressions, and Rolls-Royce employs specialized artisans dedicated to this craft. Each Cullinan Yachting model features artwork on the fascia and picnic tables capturing the wake of a tender boat heading toward a yacht. The direction of this wake reflects the bearing of each commission (North, South, East, or West), ensuring each is truly one-of-a-kind.

Creating this artwork required two months of trial and error to refine the color combinations, application techniques, and lacquering processes. To achieve a realistic representation of waves, pigments were airbrushed onto wet lacquer and then shaped by hand using fine brushes. By blowing air onto the surface while manually manipulating the paint, a sense of natural movement was achieved. This painted design is applied as part of a finish that spans the entire width of the vehicle.
