During the period from July 1, 2026, to September 30, 2026, users can support the activities of R.O.S.I.N.A.N.T.E.S. once a day for free through a voting campaign within the app.

Supported Project "Protecting the Smiles of Mothers and Children! Zambia Maternal and Child Health Project"

In rural areas of Zambia, the distance from homes to clinics is long, and there is no space to stay at the clinic. As a result, pregnant women must walk to the clinic close to their due date. This leads to many cases of childbirth at home or on the way to the clinic. Childbirth outside of medical facilities carries significant risks, endangering both mothers and children.

To improve this situation, we are working to create an environment where mothers and children can give birth and raise their children with peace of mind by establishing "maternity waiting facilities (mother shelters)" where pregnant women can safely stay before and after childbirth, promoting prenatal check-ups using ultrasound diagnostic equipment (echo), and training community health volunteers.

Father delighted to see the echo for the first time

Support received through this project will be used to promote such maternal and child health activities.

About R.O.S.I.N.A.N.T.E.S.

An international NGO founded in 2006 by Naoyuki Kawahara, who served as a medical officer for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sudan during its civil war, after resigning from the ministry. The organization aims to create an environment where everyone can live healthily by establishing systems to deliver healthcare to areas where it is inaccessible due to reasons such as the absence of hospitals. They conduct activities such as mobile clinics, clinic construction, and water supply facility construction, primarily in Sudan and Zambia in Africa.

The name R.O.S.I.N.A.N.T.E.S. is derived from Rocinante, the skinny horse ridden by Don Quixote in the novel "Don Quixote." The name was chosen with the sentiment, "Each of us may be as powerless as Rocinante, the skinny horse, but if many Rocinantes gather, they can surely bring smiles to the world."
