Robodex Co., Ltd. is participating in the 'April Dream' project, which aims to make April 1st a day for sharing dreams. This press release outlines the dream of Robodex.
Our dream is for drones to become a commonplace presence in society rather than something special. High expectations already exist for the potential of drones. However, in reality, the constraint of 'flight time' stands as a significant barrier preventing that potential from fully expanding.
To overcome this wall, we are working on the development of drones that utilize hydrogen as a new option to enable long-duration flights. However, our goal is not the 'spread of hydrogen drones themselves,' but rather for drones to be used naturally within society to support people's lives and industries. We continue to take on challenges every day to realize this goal.
## The Near Future Seriously Envisioned by Robodex
We envision a future where drones naturally blend into daily life and support people's lifestyles and industries. Drones possess the power to support people in everyday activities such as infrastructure patrolling, monitoring, inspection, and emergency deployment during disasters.
## Commitment to 'Domestic Production' - Rare in Japan!
The Japanese drone industry relies heavily on imports. This poses challenges, such as manufacturing halts due to political reasons or development into security issues. Robodex is committed to producing everything 'domestically.' Now and in a future where drones will be even more necessary, we can deliver to users through a stable domestic supply line and provide peace of mind regarding security because it is made in Japan.
Currently, it is not an easy task to produce everything domestically... However, as the industry develops, we will strive to create precedents so that the entire industry can choose 'complete domestic production'!
## No Worries About Hydrogen Supply!
To enable drones to fly for long periods, our company combines hydrogen with drones. As you might guess, we have received many questions asking, 'Where do you get the hydrogen?' Rest assured!
In May 2025, we completed the development of a mobile hydrogen station. Equipped with an explosion-proof room on the bed of a truck, hydrogen filling is possible anywhere the truck can go! From now on, we are currently working on equipping this truck with a hydrogen generator so that hydrogen can be produced and filled on the spot.
