Yutaka Matsushige x Hiroe Igeta: Healing Jeju - 1 Hour from Fukuoka, Enjoy Nature and Gourmet!

RKB Mainichi Broadcasting will air a program set on Jeju, South Korea's southernmost island, on Wednesday, June 17th, at 7:57 PM. The program's navigators are two actors from Fukuoka, Yutaka Matsushige and Hiroe Igeta. Jeju is a volcanic island formed by an eruption 1.8 million years ago and was registered as a World Natural Heritage site in 2007. With its mystical forests, mountains, emerald green sea, and rich food culture including black pork and seafood, it is a 'healing' island visited by tourists from all over the world, though its charm is still relatively unknown in Japan. Jeju is about an hour away from Fukuoka by plane. Once you land, a different world awaits. Yutaka Matsushige and Hiroe Igeta will introduce the charms of this 'other' Korea. Yutaka Matsushige explores a slow-paced trip for adults, including the 'Healing Forest' used as a filming location for 'Crash Landing on You,' climbing a World Natural Heritage mountain to see the sunrise, and enjoying local Jeju cuisine. Hiroe Igeta explores an active trip enjoying the sea and sun, including marine sports, cafe hopping, and visiting a Jeju-style izakaya run by a young couple who moved to the island.
