Riviera Future Creation Project, a Specially Certified NPO (Zushi City, Kanagawa Prefecture; Chairperson: Hanako Watanabe; hereinafter “Riviera”), held the award ceremony for the “6th Riviera SDGs Manga Award” at Riviera Zushi Marina on Saturday, March 7, 2026, to recognize winning entries from approximately 800 submissions received nationwide.
At this award ceremony, awards such as the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award, the Minister of the Environment Award, and the Kanagawa Prefectural Governor's Award were presented. Administrative, educational, and corporate officials, including Kanagawa Prefecture Governor Yuji Kuroiwa, Zushi City Mayor Satoru Kirigaya, Kamakura City Mayor Takashi Matsuo, and Hayama Town Mayor Takahito Yamanashi, honored the awardees. Concurrently, the “R Next Summit” was also held, where young people from Generation Alpha and Generation Z directly presented their proposals to governors and others. In the past, these voices have actually been reflected in policies and regional measures, developing into initiatives that move society.
From approximately 800 entries drawn by a wide range of generations, from children to seniors, with their unique perspectives, the selected award winners gathered at the venue. Awards were presented to the winners by leaders from various fields, including Kanagawa Prefecture Governor Yuji Kuroiwa. In addition, the winning works were exhibited in the venue, and visitors enjoyed viewing the works, taking commemorative photos, and interacting. Works submitted across generations.
