Risu Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Gifu City, Representative: Eita Omatsu), a manufacturer of plastic household goods, will launch two new 40L capacity models in its popular SOLOW series, the "Dustbox for Gaps and Aisles" (Slide-Open / Full-Open), on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. These new models are designed to effectively utilize dead space and dramatically change kitchen workflows.

From "Can Place It" to "Can Pass Smoothly" Kitchens

This series is a dustbox specializing in "Space Performance" (スペパ). "Placing a trash can narrows the aisle, making it difficult to even pass by family members..." To resolve such daily minor stresses, we focused on an "ultra-slim design of approximately 20cm" that fits even in narrow gaps, such as next to the refrigerator. Since it does not protrude excessively into the aisle, there is no need to dodge your body when performing "daily repeated movements" like carrying ingredients to the stove while cooking, or carrying dishes for serving and cleaning up. Passing by family members also becomes smoother, freeing you from the minor stress of feeling "Oh, it's in the way." It dramatically transforms kitchens, which you may have given up on as "too narrow to do anything about," into surprisingly easy-to-move-in, open spaces.

As new models that achieve such "improvement of household chore workflow," we offer two variations that you can choose according to the installation location and purpose.

Product Features

◾️ Approximately 20cm wide. Can be placed in small gaps or next to the kitchen

Can be placed in gaps

Less likely to obstruct aisles

Its slim design allows it to be placed in gaps between furniture or between furniture and walls. When placed next to a wall or kitchen counter, it feels less oppressive and makes it easier to secure a clear path.

◾️ Can dispose of trash while placed under shelves

Can dispose of trash while placed under shelves

Easy to move with casters

Since the lid does not extend upwards when opened, you can dispose of trash directly even when placed in areas with height restrictions, such as under kitchen counters or shelves. Casters on the bottom allow for smooth movement when cleaning or attaching a bag.

◾️ Structure that makes attaching trash bags easy, reducing stress

2-way separation

3-way separation

Attaching the bag is a two-step process: "hang the bag, then sandwich it with the lid frame." This makes attaching and removing bags easy, reducing the stress of bag changes. By sandwiching the bag with the lid frame at the end, the bag is less likely to slip off, eliminating worries about it coming loose during use. By positioning the bag retaining grooves, multiple bags can be attached, allowing for internal separation of up to three types of waste within a single unit.

Features of the Slide-Open Type

◾️ Convenient for quick disposal with a slide-open lid

Lid opens with a slide

Ideal for internal separation

Since you can dispose of trash without fully opening the lid, it's convenient for quick disposals. During cooking, when you need to dispose of trash frequently, you can leave the lid open. The lid opens with a light touch and can be opened from either side, so there's no concern about installation direction. Since it can be opened and closed individually, it's also ideal for internal waste separation.

◾️ Lid can also be opened sideways
