REVISIO Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Koshi Korigaya; hereinafter “REVISIO”), a company that installs devices equipped with human recognition technology in households to measure “attention” (gaze) toward TV screens, announces the appointment of Hayato Sozaka, former Executive Managing Director of Hakuhodo, as Executive Fellow.

Background of the Appointment

With the diversification of TV viewing environments and the widespread adoption of Connected TV (CTV), demand for attention data—measuring not only whether ads were “delivered” but also whether they were “seen”—is rapidly increasing among advertisers, advertising agencies, and broadcasters. REVISIO has been providing viewing posture data derived from its proprietary human recognition technology to over 250 domestic clients. However, to establish attention data as a common language in media business, it is essential to build deep partnerships with stakeholders who thoroughly understand both the management and operational sides of broadcasters and advertising agencies.

Mr. Sozaka has spent over 30 years at Hakuhodo, working at the forefront of marketing and media businesses. He served as an Executive Managing Director, led OTT video services during the early days of video streaming in Japan, and also held the position of COO at Digital Advertising Consortium Inc. (DAC). He possesses extensive cross-sector experience spanning advertising, broadcasting, and digital media, along with deep relationships across key broadcasters in Tokyo and regional stations.

REVISIO will accelerate business development and deepen partnerships with broadcasters and advertising agencies by integrating Mr. Sozaka’s expertise and network into its management.

Comment from Hayato Sozaka

"We must be able to talk about the value of TV not just in terms of 'quantity' but also 'quality.' I firmly believe that REVISIO’s attention data can become the long-sought common language for broadcasters and advertisers. Having worked on TV business transformation from both agency and media perspectives, I see a significant role for REVISIO’s data in the industry’s current structural shift. Together with President Korigaya and the team, I will work toward a future where attention data becomes standard in media business."

"Mr. Sozaka is a rare figure in the industry who deeply understands both the management side of advertising agencies and the operational realities of media business. To realize our vision of 'dramatically evolving the media market through new data,' we need not only technological power but also leadership that deeply grasps the industry’s structure and dynamics. With Mr. Sozaka’s participation, we will deepen co-creation with broadcasters and advertising agencies and contribute to enhancing the value of TV media."
