Sport & Do Resort RESOL no MORI (located in Nagara-machi, Chiba Prefecture; President and CEO: Shigehito Saji) will host a special summer night event, the 'RESOL no MORI Tanabata Festival,' from July 4, 2026 (Sat) to August 19, 2026 (Wed) at its hot spring glamping area, 'Grand-Vo Spa Village.' During the event period, guests can enjoy authentic bamboo Tanabata decorations, limited-time Tanabata-inspired menus and cocktails, and on August 19 (Wed)—the date of the traditional lunar Tanabata—a special event featuring lanterns released into the night sky. Under a canopy of stars, guests can reflect on the Tanabata legend while making their own wishes. Experience a uniquely magical summer night at RESOL no MORI with the 'RESOL no MORI Tanabata Festival.'

Tanabata is the night when, according to legend, the celestial lovers Orihime and Hikoboshi meet once a year. At RESOL no MORI, guests can enjoy this romantic tradition through the 'RESOL no MORI Tanabata Festival,' immersing themselves in the charm of Tanabata and the beauty of the starry sky in a resort surrounded by lush nature.

While Tanabata is now commonly celebrated on July 7, it was traditionally observed on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month. This year, the lunar Tanabata falls on August 19 (Wed), a time when the Milky Way and the Summer Triangle shine brilliantly—perfect for stargazing. On that evening, a special event will be held in which guests can release lanterns carrying their wishes into the night sky. Following the lantern launch, guests will be guided on a stargazing tour led by an astronomer from the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan. The tour will highlight stars associated with the Tanabata story, including Vega (Orihime), Altair (Hikoboshi), the Milky Way that flows between them, and the Summer Triangle, offering a captivating experience under the summer sky.

During the 'RESOL no MORI Tanabata Festival,' the hot spring glamping area 'Grand-Vo Spa Village' will feature Tanabata decorations made from real bamboo harvested during forest maintenance work at RESOL no MORI. Guests can write wishes on tanzaku paper strips and hang them on the bamboo, while the gentle sounds of wind chimes swaying in the breeze add a refreshing ambiance to the summer resort.

Additionally, limited-time desserts and cocktails will be available. At 'Restaurant Boulogne,' a seasonal dessert called 'Yogurt and White Wine Parfait' inspired by the Tanabata night sky will be offered. At 'BAR Momiji,' two limited-edition cocktails, 'VEGA' and 'ALTAIR,' inspired by the stars Orihime and Hikoboshi, will be available.

These visually stunning Tanabata desserts and romantic cocktails, each expressing the feelings of Orihime and Hikoboshi, invite guests to reflect on the Tanabata legend.
