REQWARE Announces MonotaRO's 'Reporting Infrastructure Standardization' Case Study

REQWARE Inc. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Sadanobu Kodan; hereinafter 'REQWARE') has released a case study on the standardization of reporting operations at MonotaRO Co., Ltd. MonotaRO is the operator of the B2B indirect materials e-commerce site 'MonotaRO'. At MonotaRO, reporting operations were plagued by department-specific optimization and reliance on individual skills. Different tools were used in each department, and report output from core systems relied on custom-coded programs, requiring significant man-hours for layout changes and increasing operational burdens. To solve these issues, MonotaRO utilized the low-code development platform 'OutSystems' to promote the development of a company-wide reporting infrastructure. After comparative verification of four domestic and international products, they evaluated 'processing performance,' 'flexible operation in their own environment,' and 'compatibility with the OutSystems platform,' and adopted the reporting solution 'StimulsoftEX' provided by REQWARE. In the comparative verification, they confirmed high processing performance, achieving about one-third the processing time compared to other products for 50,000 line items. It is currently used for management reports in internal business applications developed with OutSystems and for report output linked with other systems. Deployment to various reports used on-site, such as management reports for warehouse operations and product labels, is also underway. After implementation, adjustments to report layouts, which previously took several days, can now be handled in minutes to tens of minutes, significantly improving the speed of report improvement. It also demonstrates high processing performance in report output involving large-scale printing, contributing to the stabilization of on-site operations. Moving forward, they plan to promote the standardization of report creation while expanding to each location. Furthermore, with AI utilization in view, they aim to create an environment where anyone can quickly and flexibly create and improve reports.
