RENON POWER Launches 500-Site-Scale Low-Voltage Grid Battery Project in Kyushu Region

## Project Overview

RENON POWER Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "RENON"), the Japanese subsidiary of U.S.-based battery manufacturer RENON POWER, announces the launch of a 500-site-scale low-voltage grid battery project in the Kyushu region, leveraging the rapidly expanding low-voltage battery market that began in April 2026.

In this project, RENON takes the lead in establishing an integrated business model combining land development, aggregation, EMS, battery supply, and O&M, driving large-scale deployment across Kyushu.

Simultaneously, nationwide expansion is underway, with plans to develop up to 10,000 sites across Japan in the future.

## Market Background

With the increasing adoption of renewable energy and the expansion of supply-demand adjustment markets, expectations for grid-connected battery storage as a distributed energy resource are rising.

However, for high-voltage grid battery installations, barriers to commercialization are increasing annually due to prolonged grid connection timelines, growing connection constraints, and the complexity of land development and permitting.

Under these circumstances, low-voltage grid battery systems—which can be developed in a relatively short timeframe—are gaining attention as a new energy infrastructure.

RENON has initiated full-scale deployment in the low-voltage grid battery sector, responding to the market environment that began intensifying in April 2026.

## Project Overview

This project adopts RENON's proprietary low-voltage grid battery system, "ECube."

The system uses a 49.9kW rated output PCS, with battery capacity options ranging from 157kWh to 200kWh, enabling flexible configurations based on installation conditions and business plans.

Development is underway for approximately 500 sites in the Kyushu region, with contracts already secured for around 100 sites.

Land development and grid interconnection discussions are currently progressing sequentially, with grid connection scheduled to begin in early 2027.

Currently, RENON has maintenance and service experience at over 200 sites nationwide, including battery systems installed at demand facilities and renewable energy sites, with operational systems in place for fault response and regular inspections.

Furthermore, RENON has established a product warranty and rapid-response service in collaboration with domestic warranty and maintenance providers, ensuring a solid foundation for long-term operations.

## Future Expansion

Going forward, RENON will expand its deployment areas based on its achievements in Kyushu, aiming to build a nationwide network of up to 10,000 sites.

Beyond battery system supply, RENON will contribute to the realization of a distributed energy society by providing integrated packages that include EMS, aggregation, O&M, and warranty systems.
