The grid-scale storage battery facility is equipped with external outlets (power taps). In an emergency, qualified personnel (chief electrical engineers) can operate on-site to supply stored electricity externally. This power can be used for charging portable batteries and smartphones. During disasters, power will be delivered to necessary locations via charged portable batteries, supporting the maintenance of disaster response headquarters and evacuation centers.

<About the amount of power that can be supplied> The amount of power required by a two-person household for 72 hours during an emergency is approximately 17kWh (approximately 5.6kWh per day). With a rated capacity of approximately 8MWh (8,146kWh), the storage battery facility can supply power for approximately 470 households for 72 hours. Such storage facilities are expected to play an important role as local infrastructure during disasters.

The Company will continue to develop grid-scale storage battery facilities and create new value through collaboration with local communities.
