Remixpoint, Inc. (Securities Code: 3825; Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yoshihiko Takahashi; hereinafter "the Company") and Nippon Battery Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Shuichi Urushihara; hereinafter "Nippon Battery") are developing grid-scale battery storage facilities at seven locations nationwide by the end of 2026 through their jointly established private fund, "NC Pioneer LLC."

As the second base of this project, the "NC Sendai Aoba-ku Kamiaiko Storage Plant" (rated output approx. 2MW, rated capacity approx. 8MWh) in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, started receiving power on April 1, 2026. This facility is scheduled to enter the supply-demand adjustment market around August 2026, contributing to the stable supply of electricity by providing balancing power to the grid as a regionally decentralized energy base.

*1: Large-scale battery equipment connected directly to the power grid (transmission and distribution networks) to charge and discharge as needed.

Amid the push for carbon neutrality and the expansion of renewable energy introduction, securing "balancing power" essential for a stable electricity supply has become a significant social challenge. Since renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power fluctuate significantly depending on weather conditions, it is necessary to appropriately adjust the balance between supply and demand. Both companies aim to realize a sustainable and secure energy society through the popularization of grid-scale batteries.

■ Future Outlook
Regarding grid-scale storage facilities that are nearing the start of power reception, the facility in Kama City, Fukuoka Prefecture, is expected in June 2026, and the one in Kainan City, Wakayama Prefecture, in September 2026. Further progress for each site will be announced as soon as they are finalized.
