'CONTROL Resonant' Trailer Debuts at Summer Game Fest, Global Release Set for September 24

ESPOO, Finland — June 6, 2026 — Today, at Summer Game Fest, Remedy Entertainment unveiled the new 'Paranatural Manhattan' trailer for 'CONTROL Resonant,' the highly anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed and award-winning game, 'CONTROL.' 'CONTROL Resonant' will be released worldwide on September 24, 2026. Pre-orders are now open for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam and the Epic Games Store). 'CONTROL Resonant' is being published by Remedy Entertainment. Annapurna Pictures is co-financing and co-producing the title as part of a strategic partnership with Remedy.

The 'Paranatural Manhattan' trailer provides further insight into the twisted version of New York City depicted in 'CONTROL Resonant.' Narrated by Emily Pope, who returns from the original title, she works closely with the protagonist, Dylan Faden, in her capacity as the Acting Director of the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC).

'CONTROL Resonant' offers a highly creative and open sandbox environment that only Remedy's talented creators could produce. The para-naturally twisted Manhattan consists of several visually diverse zones, each occupied by its own unique enemy factions. This is the largest and richest environment Remedy has ever built for a game. Players step into these biomes as Dylan Faden, offering distinct gameplay experiences. Environments range from those on the surface to deep underground, and even to dimensions humanity never knew existed. Each biome is filled with compelling story missions, thrilling side quests like tracking down escaped 'Altered Items,' dynamic boss battles, and complex puzzles. All of this provides players with extensive choices regarding their goals and how they progress. Players will also be able to experience new, previously unseen areas of the 'Oldest House,' the setting of the original 'CONTROL.'

The trailer features the exclusive track 'Manalan Mailla,' sung by Finnish ethno-pop artist Vilma Jää. Specifically composed for 'CONTROL Resonant,' the track was written by Teemu Brunila, Jurek, and Vilma Jää.

'Manalan Mailla is inspired by the Ingrian tradition of ensemble runonlaulu, characterized by heterophonic choir parts and lyrics based on alliteration and repetition,' said Vilma Jää. 'I love to sing as high and loud as possible whenever I get the chance, so I incorporated some herding calls into the song. Working with music production superstars Teemu Brunila and Jurek was incredibly inspiring and a great honor. Together, we created something very catchy while maintaining respect for folk music tradition.'
