The "Densho no Tamatebako ~Tama Traditional Culture Festival 2026~", organized by The Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture, Arts Council Tokyo, Hachioji City, and The Hachioji City Foundation for School City Culture and Exchange, is a festival where you can easily appreciate and experience the charm of traditional culture and performing arts passed down in Hachioji and the Tama region. It features a variety of programs, including performances on outdoor stages and hands-on corners throughout the city.

Experience Rickshaw Ride Experience ~A City Tour to Find Traces of History~ (Advance application required) "Jinrikisha" (rickshaws), which were active as a means of transportation for people mainly during the Meiji and Taisho eras. Several rickshaw companies existed in Hachioji, and rickshaw pullers carrying passengers ran briskly. Why not explore Hachioji, where traces of the Showa era remain, by riding in a stylish rickshaw?
