REDCLIFF Inc. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Komei Sasaki, hereinafter "REDCLIFF"), which plans and operates drone shows, will collaborate with Certified NPO Good Neighbors Japan (Ota-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Satoshi Koizumi) to hold a "Drone Programming Experience Event" for junior high and high school students from single-parent households on Saturday, April 25, 2026.

This event aims to broaden children's future options by providing an experience that combines career talks and hands-on programs from the perspectives of drone education and STEM education.

## Social Issues of Experiential Gaps and Lack of STEM Education Opportunities
According to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's "2022 National Survey on Livelihood Trends," the relative poverty rate in single-parent households (mother-child/father-child households) in Japan is 44.5%. Children from single-parent households tend to have limited opportunities to engage in extracurricular activities, advanced technologies, or private lessons due to economic constraints.

Access to STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) is crucial for future career development, but currently, opportunities differ based on family environment.

REDCLIFF is holding this event as part of its initiative to correct the gap in experiential opportunities by utilizing drone, an advanced technology.

## Initiatives to Broaden Children's Future Options Through Drone Education
This event will be conducted in two parts, combining career development perspectives with technology experience.

### ① Career Talk by Representative Director Komei Sasaki
REDCLIFF's Representative Director, Sasaki, encountered drones during his university years, was strongly attracted by their potential, dropped out of university, and started his own business. Since then, he has grown his business in the drone field and was selected as one of the 30 individuals under 30 changing the world in August 2024, appearing in "Forbes JAPAN 30 UNDER 30 2024."

In this talk, based on his own experiences, he will discuss how to choose a career path, the value of taking on challenges, and how to approach work, providing children with an opportunity to think about "their own future."

### ② Drone Programming Experience (STEM Education Practice)
After the talk, a lecture and hands-on session on drone programming will be held.

Participants will learn about elements such as:

* Controlling drones through programming
* Designing position and movement
* Application in show production

...while actually flying educational programming drones.

The experience of seeing programs they've written come to life in front of them can deepen their understanding and interest in STEM fields.

**Educational Programming Drone "Hula-JP"**
Hula-JP is an educational, indoor drone weighing under 100g (※1) developed for programming education. Emphasizing "the fusion of fun and learning," it aims to stimulate students' curiosity, lower the hurdles for learning AI and programming, and foster confidence.

This product supports multiple operation modes, including simulator flights, manual control, and programmed flights. It is compatible with block programming, as well as Python and ESP32 control, catering to a wide range of learners from beginners to advanced students.

The dedicated app supports iOS/Android/Windows/Mac OS, making it easy to use in educational settings and aiming for practical application as a teaching material for programming education.

## REDCLIFF's Initiatives in Drone and STEM Education
REDCLIFF has been developing its drone show business since 2021, accumulating numerous achievements both domestically and internationally. In recent years, it has also focused on the drone education field, promoting the sale of educational programming drones and offering hands-on lessons for educational institutions and the general public.

Drone programming is a field suitable for next-generation education, capable of simultaneously fostering logical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

Furthermore, it combines entertainment, making it easy for children less interested in technology to learn intuitively.

REDCLIFF will continue to promote initiatives that combine drone technology and education, contributing to the development of next-generation human resources by expanding the reach of STEM education and creating experiential opportunities.

## Comment from Komei Sasaki, Representative Director/CEO of REDCLIFF Inc.
"We are very pleased to collaborate with Good Neighbors Japan to deliver drone programming experiences to children.

So far, we have delivered surprise and excitement to many people through the entertainment of drone shows, but at the core of it all is the desire to 'expand new possibilities through technology.' This initiative is an opportunity to directly deliver those possibilities to the children who will lead the next generation, and we believe it is one of the actions a company can take to address the current situation where experiential opportunities differ based on environment.

Drones are a field where various elements intersect, including not only technology but also planning and expression. We would be happy if children could gain a sense of 'I might be able to do this too' through hands-on experience.

We hope this experience will be a catalyst for broadening children's future options."
