NPO Red Box Japan (Representative Director: Kanna Omaguma), along with FC Ryukyu Sakura (President: Mari Ariki) and FC Ryukyu Sakura ale, is pleased to announce the charity event for the 'BRIGHT FUTURE OKINAWA' project, which provides menstrual supplies to schools in Okinawa Prefecture, held at Aeon Mall Okinawa Rycom.
This project is part of the 'Dokodemo Sofy' project, jointly promoted with Unicharm Corporation (President & CEO: Takahiro Takano), aiming to establish an environment where menstrual supplies can be obtained anytime they are needed.

Charity Event Held, Shipping Menstrual Supplies to 495 Schools
On March 28, 2026, a charity event was held at Aeon Mall Okinawa Rycom to commemorate the shipment of dispensers and menstrual supplies to 495 schools across Okinawa Prefecture.
On the day, players from FC Ryukyu Sakura, including Shoko Hashimoto, Setsugetsu Koike, and Anna Takahashi, along with 25 junior high and high school players belonging to FC Ryukyu Sakura ale, took the lead in the shipping operations for dispensers and the 'Dokodemo Sofy' menstrual supplies. Each player wrote messages and affixed stickers to the shipping boxes. Posters for 'BRIGHT FUTURE OKINAWA' for school display were also enclosed, and each box was carefully packed and shipped.
By having students of the same generation take the lead in this initiative, it became a symbolic effort to broaden the circle of mutual support.
A New Model of Social Collaboration Uniting Sports and the Community
This project involves FC Ryukyu, which upholds the philosophy of 'Making the world UMUSAN (interesting) together from Okinawa!', and FC Ryukyu Sakura, a team dedicated to solving social issues as 'a girls' team that builds Okinawa's future.'
A press conference was also held during the event, announcing the installation of Unicharm's 'Dokodemo Sofy' project menstrual napkin dispensers in the restrooms of FC Ryukyu's home stadium, Okinawa Prefectural Comprehensive Park Athletics Stadium (Okinawa City), and FC Ryukyu Sakura's home game venue, Kochinda Sports Park Soccer Field (Yaese Town), starting in April. This will create an environment where spectators can enjoy soccer matches with greater peace of mind by utilizing them when needed.
In the UK's Premier League, where Red Box is based, the permanent installation of menstrual supplies in soccer stadiums is common. In Japan, we aim to build a model where companies, sports teams, schools, and local communities work together, and we will promote the permanent installation of menstrual supplies rooted in the community as a system to support women across the region.

Towards Achieving a Model City for Women's Empowerment, from Okinawa to the World
This project, starting with the provision of 'School Sofy' menstrual napkin dispensers and supplies to schools in Okinawa Prefecture, aims to transform menstruation from an 'individual issue' into 'social infrastructure.'
By uniting companies, sports teams, schools, and local communities, we aim to realize 'a cutting-edge model city for women's empowerment' from Okinawa.
NPO Red Box Japan will expand this project, originating in Okinawa, by collaborating with sports teams, companies, and local governments across the country, contributing to the realization of a society where women can learn, work, and live with peace of mind.
