Kids’ Digital Camera Brand MiNiPiC to Hold Parent-Child Photography Workshop at Kobe Oji Zoo

Recred Inc. Hello! Neighbors!” on Sunday, May 31, 2026. The event is hosted by Kobe Oji Zoo (Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture; Director: Shinya Takemoto) and JCOM Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Yoichi Iwaki). Recred will hold a parent-child photography workshop as part of the event. The event is based on the concept of “creating the future of Oji Zoo together with the entire community” as the zoo marks its 75th anniversary. Within this community exchange setting, Recred will provide an opportunity for parents and children to think together about photography etiquette, an issue that has become increasingly relevant in society. By presenting rule-following not as a restriction but as an act of consideration to protect the zoo, an important local place, the company hopes to nurture the next generation of kind and considerate zoo visitors. The workshop is designed for children aged four through elementary school and their guardians, and consists of three steps. Step 1 is “Learn”: Oji Zoo staff will introduce attractive photo spots and directly teach photography etiquette that helps animals live comfortably and peacefully. Step 2 is “Shoot”: children will use the MiNiPiC kids’ camera and take the lead in photographing the zoo, while guardians stay by their side, supporting the experience through conversation and by sharing the child’s point of view. Step 3 is “Express”: participants will summarize what they noticed during the photo experience and the animals that left an impression on them using a worksheet. Participants will be able to take home the MiNiPiC camera used during the workshop and continue the photography experience at home. Recred sees the camera as a tool that helps parents understand what their children are interested in. After returning home, families can look back at the photos children took and talk about moments such as “You followed the etiquette and took that photo gently” or “I didn’t notice it at the time, but this is what you were looking at.” Through MiNiPiC, the company aims to turn a local experience into an opportunity for family conversation and deeper parent-child bonds. The workshop, titled “In-Zoo Photography Workshop,” will be held as part of “Hello! Oji Zoo! Hello! Neighbors!” on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Kobe Oji Zoo, 3-1 Oji-cho, Nada-ku, Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture. Two sessions will be held from 11:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 15:00. The workshop is open to children aged four through sixth grade and their guardians; guardian accompaniment is required. Capacity is 30 participants in total, with 15 participants per session, and a lottery will be held if applications exceed capacity. Participation is free, though admission fees to Oji Zoo are required separately. The event is co-hosted by Kobe Oji Zoo and JCOM Co., Ltd., with cooperation from Recred Inc.
