Recerqa Announces 'AI Agent Development Internship' for University and Graduate Students

Recerqa Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Kotaro Umeda; hereinafter 'Recerqa') will host an 'AI Agent Development Internship' for university and graduate students. This intensive 5-day program, to be held twice—in August and September—challenges participants to identify real-world business problems and develop functional AI agents from concept to prototype. All participants will receive a 100,000 JPY stipend, the top performer will be awarded 1,000,000 JPY, and outstanding candidates will receive fast-track job offers.

■ Background

With the rapid advancement of AI technologies, generative AI is being adopted across various domains. However, most applications remain limited to solving predefined problems using AI, rather than cultivating talent capable of deeply understanding core issues, formulating original hypotheses, and iteratively solving them using generative AI.

Recerqa operates under the mission of 'Turning everyone into a creative worker,' aiming to transform enterprise operations through AI-native systems. To achieve this, we believe it is essential to develop individuals who don't just use generative AI, but leverage it to create fundamental value. To nurture 'problem-framing skills,' 'flexible thinking,' and 'AI utilization capabilities,' we have designed this internship program.

■ Program Overview: AI Agent Development Internship

This internship challenges participants to uncover hidden inefficiencies in corporate operations, identify core problems, and build fully functional AI agents using generative AI tools.

Participants will discover problems within unstructured data, deeply analyze real business processes, identify root causes, and design and build working AI agent prototypes that deliver tangible solutions—not just present theoretical ideas.

Program Schedule:

First Session: August 3 (Mon) – August 7 (Fri), 2026

Second Session: September 7 (Mon) – September 11 (Fri), 2026

Format: In-person (Tokyo, near Tamachi area)

Eligibility: University and graduate students graduating in 2027 or 2028 (any major or year)

Selection Process: Document screening, pre-assessment test, and interview

Participation Stipend: 100,000 JPY (for all participants)

Grand Prize: 1,000,000 JPY (awarded to one winner)
