Rebirth Inc. (https://rebirth.ltd/) has released the Q&A function "Hoshikuzu" (https://warpcity.jp/hoshikuzu) on its migration support portal site "Warp City" (https://warpcity.jp/). This feature allows users to anonymously post questions regarding regions, and municipalities provide answers. This addresses the issue of users being hesitant to use traditional inquiry forms due to privacy concerns or unformulated questions. Questions and answers are publicly displayed and can be shared on social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook, enabling municipalities to enhance information dissemination and awareness. Warp City, launched in February 2022, identified through approximately four years of user interaction that many potential migrants face challenges in the initial stages, such as not having a specific region in mind, not knowing where to inquire, or having unformulated questions. "Hoshikuzu" aims to overcome these barriers by providing an anonymous platform for early-stage questions. Key features include anonymous question posting, municipality responses, and public display of Q&A. The update also includes general user member registration, allowing users to log in and post questions. Future developments for Warp City include expanding project functions and user-to-user communication features to deepen engagement between users and regions. Warp City was developed to address societal issues like population decline and overconcentration in Tokyo, aiming to connect municipalities with interested users to create diverse forms of engagement beyond direct migration. "Hoshikuzu" serves as an initial point of contact for users interested in regions, making early-stage questions visible and fostering new connections, which is expected to contribute to the creation of "relationship populations" and eventually lead to migration and settlement.
