Laxus Inc. conducted a survey on the status of gasoline vehicle ownership, the intention to transition to EVs/HVs, and disposal plans for legacy vehicles, targeting 300 individuals involved in the purchase, management, and sale of corporate vehicles owning two or more fleet cars through its mobility business, 'CarNext'.

## Gasoline Vehicle Ownership in Construction is 86.8%, Highest Among 5 Sectors
Notably, construction shows the highest gasoline vehicle ownership rate at 86.8%, surpassing transportation (82.1%), manufacturing (66.7%), real estate (57.7%), and agriculture/forestry/fishery/mining (50.0%). In construction, gasoline vehicles remain critical for site travel and transporting materials.

## Majority of Construction Sector Considering EV/HV Transition
Among gasoline vehicle owners in construction, 53.0% are either 'planning/executing' (25.8%) or 'considering' (27.3%) a transition to EVs/HVs. The primary motivations are 'reduction of fuel and maintenance costs' (80.0%) and 'response to carbon neutrality and social responsibility' (51.4%).

## 40% Undecided on Legacy Vehicle Disposal
Regarding disposal plans for legacy vehicles, among construction managers considering an EV/HV transition, only 42.9% have 'specifically determined disposal methods,' while 40.0% 'have not decided on a method,' and 17.1% 'are not thinking about disposal.' This indecision is driven by the opacity of the exit strategy, with many citing 'not knowing the proper appraisal value' (57.1%) and 'failing to find vendors for bulk disposal' (48.6%) as major obstacles. To facilitate smooth fleet renewal, organizations must establish integrated systems that combine introduction plans with disposal strategies.
