From 'Quantity' to 'Quality' Era, Examining the State of Support on the Occasion of the 10th Anniversary of the Revised Act on Employment Promotion of Persons with Disabilities. Webinar to be Held on April 15th for Employment Transition Support Offices.

Randstad Japan Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, Chairman & CEO: Atsuyuki Michioka; Representative Director, President: Satoshi Saruya) will hold a free webinar for employment transition support offices on April 15, 2026. With the upcoming revision of the statutory employment rate to 2.7% in July 2026, we will explain the changes in the type of human resources companies seek and the new roles required of support institutions, incorporating the latest market trends. In addition to steadily promoting its own disability employment, Randstad is also strengthening its business of introducing disabled job seekers to companies, and will continue to contribute to solving social issues.

■ To 2.7% Statutory Employment Rate. Disability Employment Enters the Second Phase: From 'Quantity' to 'Quality'
Ten years have passed since the revised Act on Employment Promotion of Persons with Disabilities was enacted in 2016. We have moved from Phase 1, where 'prohibition of discrimination' and 'provision of reasonable accommodation' were mandated, to the current Phase 2, which demands 'improvement in the quality of employment' and 'normalization of reasonable accommodation.' Support institutions are now required to have more advanced consulting capabilities, going beyond mere 'job placement' to include career path development after joining the company and flexible accommodation adjustments tailored to the company's culture. Furthermore, with the statutory employment rate for disabled individuals in private companies to be raised to 2.7% in July 2026, it is becoming increasingly important for companies to respond to and support the retention of disabled employees. In this webinar, dedicated consultants from Randstad, who understand the circumstances of both companies and job seekers in the field of disability employment, will strive to alleviate concerns by answering support office questions such as, 'What skills are required for employment?' and 'How do you find new employment opportunities?' We will also introduce actual support case studies, providing hints for advice that support offices can share with their users starting tomorrow.

■ Aiming for a Society that Promotes the Employability of Persons with Disabilities by Having Support Offices and Companies Share a Common Vision
As companies face the challenge of not just hiring individuals with disabilities but ensuring they can thrive long-term, understanding the 'real needs of companies' by support institutions directly translates to the long-term career development of individuals with disabilities. Moreover, by fostering mutual understanding and smooth collaboration between companies and support institutions, we can prevent 'social losses' caused by early job turnover due to mismatches. As an intermediary connecting employment transition support offices, individuals with disabilities, and companies, Randstad aims to improve the employability of persons with disabilities by promoting shared vision alignment through this webinar.

■ Randstad's Promotion of Disability Employment Within the Company
At Randstad, fairness is our mission, and we are working to create a workplace where employees with disabilities can work vibrantly. Our company maintains a high employment rate, even when considering the denominator which includes more than five times the number of dispatched employees compared to regular employees. We recognize that ensuring the job satisfaction and growth of employees with disabilities requires various efforts, and we have strengthened our initiatives by establishing a task force directly under the CEO since January 2023. We are working to enhance the hiring, retention, and engagement of employees with disabilities by strengthening the placement of internal 'retention supporters' and collaborating with multiple external support partners. As a result of these comprehensive support efforts, our disability employment rate as of June 2025 stands at 2.65%, and we will continue to focus on disability employment within the company. This webinar is also based on the knowledge gained from such internal practices (successes and trial-and-error).
