Qubitcore Joins JST Moonshot Goal 6 Phase 2 Project for Fault-Tolerant Quantum Computing

Qubitcore Inc., an OIST-originated startup, has announced its participation in Phase 2 (FY2026-2030) of JST's Moonshot Goal 6 project. The company will lead the development of ion-trap quantum computer systems and conduct research on quantum error correction. The project aims to build a 100-qubit system by 2030 and eventually realize a million-qubit scale quantum supercomputer by 2050 to solve global challenges in drug discovery and energy optimization.
