COMPASS Inc. (Headquarters: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Jun Sato; hereinafter referred to as COMPASS) is pleased to announce that its inquiry-based learning library for elementary and junior high schools, "SPARKE" (developed jointly with ShoPro Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Satoshi Matsui; hereinafter referred to as ShoPro)), has partnered with LoiLo Inc. (Headquarters: Yokohama, Kanagawa; Representative Directors: Koji Sugiyama, Ryutaro Sugiyama; hereinafter referred to as LoiLo) to begin providing teaching materials that can be used with "LoiloPad School," a class support application provided by LoiLo.

Initially, compatibility will be introduced for three inquiry-based learning programs currently available on "SPARKE," with plans to sequentially expand the range of supported programs. Additionally, an online seminar will be held on July 30th to introduce how to use the teaching materials and provide ideas for their application in classes.

Background of Service Launch

SPARKE has so far provided inquiry-based learning programs that connect real-world society with subject learning to schools and teachers free of charge. Each program is provided as a package including "video materials, worksheets, teacher's guides, and supplementary materials such as class slides," designed for immediate use in classes without placing an additional burden on teachers' preparation.

Recognizing the ease of use, these programs have been delivered to over 50,000 students nationwide.

Amidst this, teachers who actually use the programs have begun to express new requests from the perspective of teaching material operation and collaborative learning using ICT, such as:

- Wanting to distribute worksheets digitally

- Wanting to share student ideas in real-time

- Wanting to manage the entire process from reflection to evaluation

In response to these needs, we have now begun providing teaching materials in a format that is easy to use with "LoiloPad School," a cloud-based class support system used in many schools.

This will reduce the burden on teachers in preparing and conducting inquiry-based learning, while also promoting the sharing of opinions and collaborative learning among students.

Compatibility with LoiloPad School

We will provide teaching materials that can be imported and used in LoiloPad School. These materials can be downloaded from SPARKE, just like the conventional programs (no separate application required). The features of the teaching materials are as follows:

1 Worksheets and rubrics can be used as-is on LoiloPad School

Worksheets and rubrics provided by SPARKE can be imported and used in LoiloPad School. They can be used immediately in class without the need for paper distribution or data conversion.

2 Classes can be conducted utilizing the functions of LoiloPad School

Classroom practice is possible by utilizing LoiloPad School's unique functions, such as sharing cards created by students, exchanging opinions, and submitting/collecting work.

3 Dedicated materials to support inquiry-based learning are added

Dedicated materials to support class progression, opinion organization, and reflection are also provided, designed for use on LoiloPad School.

Through this collaboration, SPARKE will create an environment where teachers can conduct inquiry-based learning more smoothly.

Programs with Initial Compatibility

- "Exploring the Bento Box: Let's Think About Products Utilizing Material Properties" (Partner Company: Skater Co., Ltd.)

- "Let's Spread the Charm of Classical Works: Challenge Yourself as a Producer!" (Partner Company: Bushiroad Inc.)
