What are your thoughts from your sales experience?

However, tackling food loss can be difficult for small businesses. Toriniko offers a solution where it's beneficial for the store, the user, and the environment – a 'three-way win'. Some express that this is a more meaningful initiative than simply offering discounts.
Regarding your interactions with local people, have you noticed anything about the characteristics of the Shonan region?
First and foremost, people in Shonan love Shonan. More specifically, those living in Kamakura love Kamakura, and those in Zushi love Zushi. Even within Shonan, people love their own specific area the most.
The region is also attractive for its many small, independent shops. Many individuals open businesses that leverage their unique skills and operate on a small scale, cherishing their desire to create. These small-scale operators often gather for small-scale markets.
What I've noticed from visiting shops in the Shonan region is the close relationship between shopkeepers and customers. People enter the shops like they would a friend's house, saying 'Hello!', chatting, and then buying what they want to eat. They also stop by even if they don't buy anything. The Shonan area gives a very strong impression of such casual interactions.
Last year, we received the Kamakura Circular Award. The Mayor of Kamakura, with whom I spoke at the time, was also very friendly, and there was no barrier between the attendees and the award recipients. I experienced the unique 'sense of unity' characteristic of this region.

The Shonan region has a strong desire to protect the environment and is undertaking various initiatives for a circular society. I believe it is a leading region in Japan in this field.
Therefore, we want to expand from Shonan, reducing food loss with Toriniko and creating a better society where food circulates properly within the community.
We aim to solve the problems leading to waste for more businesses and to convey the charm of the region.
We want to create an app where people living in Shonan can naturally order through 'Toriniko', feel good about reducing food loss, and return home happily to enjoy their delicious purchases.
