Kotomi Omota is a table tennis player born on April 7, 2004, from Ono City, Hyogo Prefecture.

She progressed through Takuei kid’s, Shitennoji Junior and Senior High School, and then Aichi Institute of Technology. She achieved success in national competitions since her elementary school days and played a key role as a main member at Shitennoji High School.

Her main achievements include runner-up in the 2023 All Japan Student Selection Championships Women's Singles and winner of the 2025 All Japan University Comprehensive Championships Women's Singles.

Her playing style is an attacking type with a right shakehand grip and inverted rubbers on both sides. She expands her active fields both domestically and internationally with strong drives from both hands and continuous attacks from the forecourt.

Currently, she plays as a member of the Portland Paddlers in the American professional table tennis league "Major League Table Tennis," and also participates in the French professional table tennis league "Pro A," continuing to challenge herself on the world stage.
