Aichi Prefectural University Public University Corporation endorses April Dream, which aims to make April 1st a day to express dreams. This press release is a dream of "Aichi Prefectural University."
Through this concept, we aim to foster human resources who can solve new and emerging challenges, and to return the results of our educational and research activities to the local community, thereby contributing to the resolution of various regional issues.
1. Purpose
Aichi Prefectural University (President: Hiroaki Kawabata, Location: 1522-3 Ibaragahazama, Nagakute City, Aichi Prefecture) is planning to establish the School of Co-creation, Department of Social Innovation (tentative name) in April 2028.
The challenges arising in society are diversifying and becoming more complex, requiring a multifaceted perspective that spans humanities, sciences, and various fields, as well as integrated problem-solving abilities. This concept involves establishing a new school (faculty level) and department (department level) that integrates humanities and sciences, leveraging the resources cultivated by our university, which comprises five faculties in humanities and sciences and has an art university as a sister school.

3. Educational Content
Students will learn policy science, which explores the direction humanity and society should aim for; information technology, which involves AI and data utilization; and business administration, which covers business and entrepreneurial ideas and methods, all integrated. Furthermore, as a cross-cutting foundation, emphasis will be placed on information literacy and communication skills, with practical English education introduced from the first year. Students will develop discussion and presentation skills and acquire the ability to create new value in society through practical projects in collaboration with local communities and companies.
