Supporting through Donations and Partnership: Launching a New Support Model to Accelerate Social Issue Resolution – Certified NPO PublicMind Fully Deploys Social Investment Ecosystem

We aim to expand the scale of support, centered around the social investment fund "PublicMind Fund No. 1," by linking three initiatives: crowdfunding, formation of student/youth communities, and grant/mentoring support.

Certified NPO PublicMind (hereinafter, PublicMind), as an intermediary support organization for NPOs tackling social issues, is fully deploying a social investment ecosystem centered around the "PublicMind Fund No. 1," established in August 2022.

This initiative will accelerate social issue resolution through "money, people, and systems" by linking the following three measures:

1. Fundraising through Crowdfunding (March 30 - July 19)
2. Formation of Communities Centered on Youth and Students (Event planned for late April)
3. Third Call for Applications from NPOs and Organizations Wishing to Receive Grants and Mentoring Support Utilizing the Fund (Scheduled for August onwards)

[Background and Challenges]
Amidst the increasing complexity and diversity of social issues, NPOs working on the ground are required not only to receive mere financial support but also to be accompanied by mentoring support and connections to human resources that sustain their continuous growth.

On the other hand, for individuals who wish to engage with social issues, there are hurdles such as:
"I don't know how to get involved other than through donations."
"It's hard to see how I can utilize my skills."

There are many ways to engage with social issues. PublicMind aims to accelerate the resolution of social issues by presenting and linking a wide range of engagement methods.

[Features of the Initiative]
1. Raising Funds: Crowdfunding (March 30 - July 19)
We will solicit funds for "social investment" that supports the resolution of social issues from a wide range of individuals and corporations.
We will promote engagement through donations by leveraging the tax benefits of being a certified NPO.
→ Click here for crowdfunding details.

2. Engagement and Growth of People: Youth and Student Community (Event planned for late April)
We will create a space where young people and students interested in social issues can engage practically and in a side-job-like manner.
We will foster mentors for accompanying support and broaden the base of next-generation human resources for social issue resolution.
→ The following event is planned for late April:
"Connecting with Society from the First Step — A Social Introduction for Students and Young Professionals"

3. Solving and Expanding Social Issues: Grant and Mentoring Support Application (From August)
Through the social investment fund "PublicMind Fund No. 1," we will provide grants and mentoring support to organizations working on social issues. We aim to expand the scope of support and maximize impact through the third call for applications.
→ Details for the third call for applications will be released from August onwards.

[Overall Picture of the Ecosystem]
This initiative is designed not as a one-off measure but as a "circular support model (ecosystem)" where:
Funds are raised through crowdfunding.
People engage and grow within the community.
Social issues are resolved and promoted through grants and mentoring support.

[Future Outlook]
With the concept of "social issue resolution where one can choose their method of engagement," our organization aims to expand the base of social issue solvers and support providers by promoting diverse forms of involvement such as donations, human involvement, and encouragement.
