With society's divisions deepening and words becoming weapons that hurt people, AERA launched this project in October last year and opened a special page to intensively disseminate messages that foster a desire "to be kind." It is AERA's "kindest" project ever.

The special page provides gateways to various categories such as "Let's Talk About Kindness," "Scientifically Exploring Kindness," "Listen to Voices," "Cozy Corner," "Kindness Feature," "Kind Portraits," and "Kindness Dispatch Station," where readers can find articles that delve into kindness from multiple perspectives. Now, new video content has been added to these categories. Interviews with celebrities, valuable scenes from coverage, and event highlights will be updated sequentially.

In the "Essence of Kindness" section, various individuals who cooperated with interviews share their "Essence of Kindness" – what makes them kind – through videos. Additionally, handwritten "Essence of Kindness" messages from readers who participated in events have been newly posted.

Furthermore, an impressive illustration of a child and a heart, drawn by French picture book artist Serge Bloch, has newly appeared on the special page as a symbol.

The special organizer of this project is Kundo Koyama, a broadcast writer and screenwriter, and the creator of "Kumamon." Mr. Koyama states, "I believe kindness is how strongly you can think of others. I have always believed that life will undoubtedly become richer by honing the 'power to think of others.'"

In the 2026 fiscal year, AERA will disseminate messages of kindness through various themes throughout the year. April is planned for "Regional Revitalization," May for "New Education," June for "The Power of Music," and July for "Kindness with the Next Generation." After that, various themed features will be developed under the project, including "Food," "Environment," "Well-being," "Diversity," and "Disaster Recovery."
