Message from Asahi Shimbun Publications
This marks our fourth year participating in the selection for the Creative Award.

To date, we have published works that received the Asahi Shimbun Publications Award, such as Nanten Seyama's "Cream Yellow Sea and a House with Spring Cabbage" (Work Novel category) and Eri Aoyama's "Because I Don't Know Your April" (Romance Novel category, original title "Osaka Castle is Five Centimeters"). We also recommended and published works by Tsuki Tsukioka, "Grandma's Poetry Collection" (published title "Swimming While Hurting": 2024 Essay category), and Shibako Akita, "Chestnut and Peony" (published title "Chestnut is Moonlight, Golden: Wagashi Shop Nagatsukido": 2025 Work Novel category). Last year, Mika OL's "OL's Extreme Theory: Spending 3 Million Yen to Conquer All Hoshino Resorts in About 4 Years of Super Frugal Living," which won the Asahi Shimbun Publications Award, is scheduled for release as a paperback on June 19.

We publish a diverse range of literary books, comics, and business books. More than 10 editorial staff members with various values, both male and female, are involved in the selection process. Through the Creative Award, we sincerely hope to meet new talented individuals.
