To Promote Intentional Giving: Public Resource Foundation Begins Public Offering for New Organizations to Register in the "Certified Donation Organization Database" for Donors

Public Interest Incorporated Foundation Public Resource Foundation (Location: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Tsuyoshi Kusumi) announced on April 30, 2026 (Thursday) the start of public applications for new organizations to register in its "Certified Donation Organization Database (Online Donation Site Give One)". The "Certified Donation Organization Database" is a list where organizations selected through rigorous screening criteria are registered within our foundation's database. It serves to introduce these organizations as donation targets to donors who have a desire to "maximize social impact (results) through donations" and "effectively solve social issues." It is our foundation's original mechanism that connects donors with intentions and NPOs or social enterprises. Details: https://www.public.or.jp/post/db2026 Since fiscal year 2023, our foundation has reorganized the database of donation target organizations listed on "Online Donation Site Give One" into the broader "Certified Donation Organization Database." By selecting these certified donation organizations through rigorous screening criteria, we gain the trust of donors and connect the aspirations of donors who wish to "maximize social impact (results) through donations" and "effectively solve social issues" with NPOs and social enterprises. Organizations and projects certified and registered in the "Certified Donation Organization Database" primarily become eligible for donations (grants) through the following three routes: ① As eligible organizations/projects for designated donations, original funds, bequests and inherited property donations, and in-kind donations in collaboration with corporations. From 2022, we launched a new online donation system exclusively for corporate employees and related parties, with full-scale deployment starting in fiscal year 2023. The "Certified Donation Organization Database" organizations become the recipients of donations as part of promoting corporate social contribution, workplace fundraising, and empathy-based donations. DAF is a donation method born in the United States with a history of nearly 100 years. It is utilized as the largest donation route in the U.S., where various social issues exist. Donations are managed in the form of a fund, and the operating profits and principal are regularly delivered to supported organizations, making it an almost perpetual support fund. "DAF Arata" is Japan's first "Japan-style Donor-Advised" = "Investment x Selectable Original Fund," operated in collaboration with Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank. Donors can support organizations from the list in the Certified Donation Organization Database.
