On June 11, 2026, Eikei University launched the inaugural seminar of the 'Hiroshima Value Shift Program,' a practical initiative matching core urban professionals as visiting researchers with local companies to address management challenges in Hiroshima Prefecture.

The Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration and Training Promotion Center (Social Design Center) at Eikei University (President Mutsuhiro Arunobu, Naka-ku, Hiroshima City) launched the seminar for the 'Hiroshima Value Shift Program' on Thursday, June 11, 2026.

About the Hiroshima Value Shift Program

This program welcomes core professionals active in urban areas as 'Visiting Researchers at Eikei University' and matches them with local companies facing management challenges, forming a practical program aimed at solving these issues. Visiting researchers spend four days per week working within companies to organize, resolve, and support management challenges, and one day per week receiving guidance at the university through seminars and exercises.

Overview of the First Seminar

During today’s inaugural seminar, the seven participating researchers introduced themselves, sharing their professional backgrounds and areas of expertise. Following this, each researcher delivered a five-minute presentation outlining the current challenges of their matched company, a roadmap toward solutions, and their personal goals.
