The Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration and Research Promotion Center at Eikei University (President: Mutsuhiro Arinobu, Location: Naka-ku, Hiroshima City) has created the 'Etto OluOlu CHAOS MAP for STARTUP' with the aim of making it easier for people working on creating new value in Hiroshima to overview local support entities and services, and to find consultation and collaboration partners. This map was produced by the Center together with students. 'Etto OluOlu' is a name combining the Hiroshima dialect words for 'a lot' (etto) and 'there are' (oru). There are many people in Hiroshima who support new challenges. We created this chaos map with the hope that the power of these people will properly reach someone trying to take on a challenge. This map aims to connect all people challenging the creation of new value in Hiroshima—including not only startups but also those in charge of new corporate businesses and intrapreneurs—with supporters in Hiroshima. The map organizes diverse support areas such as startup/commercialization consultation, incubation, fundraising, grants/subsidies, marketing/PR, sales channel expansion/overseas expansion, demonstration experiments/PoC, consortiums, inter-company collaboration, and communities. In new business and business development, the necessary support changes depending on the phase, such as conceptual bouncing board, commercialization support, fundraising, demonstration experiments, and network formation. On the other hand, it is not always easy to grasp at once 'where to consult' or 'what kind of support entities exist' within Hiroshima. This map aims to be an entry point for making such local support players and services visible and thinking about the next step. First, please look at the map as a whole and try to find a support destination close to your theme or business phase. We hope you can use it as a map to get one step closer to where your ideas and businesses are aiming. The production was done by Eikei University's Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration and Research Promotion Center, with cooperation from Hiroshima Innovation Base. Please see the main map below.
