PTC Announces 'Windchill AI Assistant' to Facilitate Product Data Utilization Across the Enterprise

PTC has announced the availability of 'Windchill AI Assistant', a new generative AI feature embedded in its Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution, Windchill. Using a natural language chat interface, this tool enables users to easily search, summarize, and utilize complex product documents and engineering test data already stored within the platform. By reducing the time spent searching for information, it helps improve overall team productivity while strictly maintaining security and access control rules. PTC's General Manager of Windchill, John Haller, emphasized that the assistant helps unlock insights buried in engineering data. PTC plans to further enhance the AI assistant to cover parts and change management in the future, driving AI-led transformation in the manufacturing industry.
