Online Survival Game 'Conan Exiles Enhanced' Set in the World of Hero Conan, Major Free 8th Anniversary Upgrade Now Available!

Funcom®, the developer and publisher of the online survival game 'Conan Exiles', set in the world of Hero Conan, announced that 'Conan Exiles Enhanced' officially launched on Steam on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, in cooperation with Inflexion Games.

This massive upgrade will be provided free of charge to all current Steam owners and future purchasers. This is the most extensive visual and technical overhaul in its eight-year history, marking the beginning of a new chapter for 'Conan Exiles'.

Released just before the game's 8th anniversary on Friday, May 8th, 'Conan Exiles Enhanced' is an anniversary gift in appreciation of the millions of players who have shaped the world of Conan since 2018.

Refreshed 'Conan Exiles' Experience

'Conan Exiles Enhanced' sees the entire game transition to Unreal Engine 5. Content added over eight years since its release has been integrated, offering players a dramatically upgraded experience, which includes:

- Significant visual improvements across environments, characters, lighting, and effects - An immersive experience brought by a unified world, connecting the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah (separate expansion 'Conan Exiles: Isle of Siptah') - Performance enhancements aiming for 60+ FPS on low, medium, high, and ultra settings for many PCs - A comfortable portable survival experience realized with enhanced performance on Steam Deck - Other improvements and usability enhancements - New features and an improved UI are also introduced

All of the above will be provided as a free upgrade to existing 'Conan Exiles' Steam owners.

Two Maps, One Seamless World

For the first time, players can now freely travel between the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah, which requires a separate purchase. The two vast regions are integrated into one continuous experience, allowing exploration of both without needing to start a new character or select a map upon game launch.

Multiplayer servers can now support both maps simultaneously, greatly expanding the playable world for players who own the 'Conan Exiles: Isle of Siptah' expansion.

Since its original release on May 8, 2018, over 15 million players have ventured into the harsh world of the highly-acclaimed survival game 'Conan Exiles'. The game is set in the legendary world of Robert E. Howard.

Supported Platforms

'Conan Exiles Enhanced' is currently available as a free upgrade for all 'Conan Exiles' Steam owners. At present, there are no plans to offer this upgrade for console, Epic Games Store, or Windows Store, but Funcom and Inflexion Games continue to consider future platform expansion.
