Seminar Highlights

AI Transforming Career Support – Breaking Away from Personalized 1-on-1s

Even if career counseling and 1-on-1s are conducted, their quality often depends on the person in charge. In this seminar, a mechanism was introduced that enables anyone to achieve a certain standard of career dialogue by utilizing AI as a facilitator. By having AI ask questions, encourage introspection, and structure conversations, the aim is to break away from "vague conversations."

It was explained how to achieve reproducible career support, rather than relying on human experience and intuition, and a new approach to collectively raise the quality of career development across the entire organization.

Leading to Satisfying Career Design with "Passion x Strengths x Demand"

The core of career development presented was the combination of "Passion (interests)," "Strengths (abilities)," and "Demand (market value)." The process of deepening individual self-understanding through dialogue with AI and visualizing unique career directions was introduced.

Furthermore, the derived direction was concretized into actions for 3 years, 1 year, and 1 month later. The design for translating abstract ideals into actionable career plans was explained.

Practical Knowledge for Boosting Engagement – Effects Shown by Data

In practical case studies within organizations, continuous AI-powered career 1-on-1s led to an improvement in engagement scores. Significant improvements were observed particularly in items such as "job satisfaction," "sense of growth," and "supervisor support behavior." The fact that career development not only contributes to individual satisfaction but also impacts the overall state of the organization, as demonstrated by data, provides important insights from the perspective of human capital management.

New Career Support Created by AI and Human Collaboration

While AI excels at providing comprehensive knowledge-based proposals and continuous dialogue, empathy for emotions and understanding context remain human roles. In this seminar, the importance of role differentiation leveraging the strengths of each was discussed.

Higher quality career support can be achieved through AI and human collaboration. The content offered insights into a new form of career support that utilizes technology not as a "substitute" but as an "extension."
