He was also a special researcher SPD at the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, University of Tokyo; PhD in Sociology. He has worked on numerous collaborative projects connecting universities and companies. His specialties are career theory and organizational theory. He has served as an outside director/advisor for 36 companies. Individual investor. Author of 36 books. Major works include 'Protean: The Strongest Career Capital Theory for Working on the Front Line Until 70,' '13 Simple Ways to Solve Career Problems: Career Workout,' 'Practicing Career Ownership,' and 'Evolving Career Ownership.'
