Takayoshi Mori, Corporate Consulting Dept., 4designs Co., Ltd.
## Seminar Highlights
1. The reality of JTC transformation starting from the 'first year of career autonomy in 2022'
Founded in 1899, the company boasts a long average length of service and can be said to be a symbol of a 'traditional Japanese company (JTC)'. In the past, the organization was the owner of careers, and company-led transfers were the norm. They explained the organizational transformation process of shifting toward their 2030 vision of a 'Wellness Company' and instilling a 'Protean Career' involving all 2,400 employees.
2. Why the 'President\'s Message' and 'Company-wide e-learning' form the foundation of all measures
In 2022, the Representative Director and President (at the time) personally delivered a 5-minute video to all employees explaining 'Why career autonomy now?'. Starting from the strong commitment of top management, they introduced e-learning where all employees learn about 'Protean Career'. They introduced the reasons why this 'message coordinated between management and HR' forms the foundation of an organizational culture where individuals design their own careers, going beyond mere training.
