Toyota Transport, a comprehensive logistics company that forms the core of the Toyota Group's logistics, has decided to adopt "ProPlus+" as a robust system foundation to ensure compliance with the new standards effective April 2027 and to enhance the accuracy of numerical calculations in monthly closings and the sophistication of accounting operations.

This initiative is part of a crucial effort to advance the accounting system that supports the entire supply chain of the Toyota Group. Background and Challenges of Adoption

Toyota Transport, in preparation for the mandatory adoption of the new lease accounting standards from April 2027, has been considering policies to ensure compliance with the approaching new standards, with the prerequisite of establishing a precise reporting system to its parent company. While the transition to the new standards requires advanced expertise and reliable project execution capabilities, the following points were primarily key issues:

Ensuring accurate calculation of monthly closing figures with a view to the reporting system to the parent company.

Leveraging specialized knowledge based on extensive experience in IFRS 16 (Leases).

Ensuring reliable system operation by the deadline through implementation support.

To resolve these challenges and build a robust system capable of continuing stable monthly closing operations even after the new system's commencement in April 2027, an appropriate system selection process was undertaken.

Future Outlook

Toyota Transport has been using the "ProPlus Fixed Assets System" since 2001, which has served as the foundation for its asset management operations for many years. This adoption is an additional implementation based on its long-standing operational track record, and we believe it reflects the continued trust in our solutions. With the additional implementation of this system, we aim to build a highly scalable system in anticipation of an increase in the number of lease contracts accompanying future business expansion. The plan is to complete rehearsals, including environment setup and operational procedures, by the end of fiscal year 2026, and to smoothly transition to the mandatory application of the new lease accounting standards from April 2027. Following the commencement of the new standards, we intend to further enhance accounting operations and strengthen the management control system through the stable operation of "ProPlus+".
